Automation Services
| System staff keep informed about and maintain files on new developments in automation. Member libraries can receive advice
on library application of specific technologies. The System also occasionally offers grants to assist with the acquisition of these
tools, such as computers, telefax machines and CD Rom products. A prime New York State Education Department goal is that local libraries will become Electronic Doorways to the world of information for the public. All of the member libraries in the System are Electronic Doorway Libraries. Six member libraries are Advanced Electronic Doorway Libraries: Smith Memorial Library; Patterson Library; James Prendergast Library; Olean Public Library; Salamanca Public Library and Mayville Library. |
