Friendly Reminder from the Highway Department to Town of Poland taxpayers/residents

LOCAL LAW #1 – PARKING RESTRICTIONS - Parking on T.O.P. owned and maintained roads during the months of November 1st through April 1st is prohibited during the hours from 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.

NYS LAW - does not permit any snow plowing across a public road whether you are removing snow from your own driveway or hired a contractor to plow your driveway or parking lot. Contractors should be made aware of this law if they are pushing snow across the road. There have been instances where snow removal has left snow in the road and when the snow freezes, this becomes a safety issue for people driving on the roads and even a problem for the Town plows. Let’s keep safety a priority!
