We Are Live!!

For the past eight years, the Falconer Public Library has been working to get its collection in the automated circulation system of the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System. On July 1st the library will be going live.

What this means is that each of you will now receive your own laminated library card (like the one below) that you must bring with you to the library when you want to borrow library materials once the library actually goes live with the new card catalog system, called SIRSI.  We have been using the SIRSI catalog for several years now. This is the catalog shared with all the member libraries in the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System.  You can use this new patron card at any of the other member libraries, as well.  This card will allow you to place holds on items and to request ebook titles as well.

NO service will change.  You will still have the same friendly staff to help with anything. Computer use, magazine use, copy/fax use, will all be the same.

By using SIRSI, check in and check outs will be faster. There will be a little bit of a learning curve for all involved, so we ask for your patience.
