The Library Is A Star.....Again!!!
For the fourth consecutive year, the Falconer Public Library has been named a Five Star Library by the Library Journal. The library ranked number 3 in the nation in the $100,000 - $199,999 expenditure category. Please click here to learn more about the rankings.
Library Journal’s fourth national rating of public libraries, the LJ Index of Public library Service 2011, identifies 262 Star libraries. Created by Keith Curry Lance and Ray Lyons and based on 2009 data from the IMLS, it rates 7,513 public libraries. The top libraries in each group get five, four, or three stars. All rated libraries, stars or not can use their scores to learn from their peers, inform their stakeholders of achievements and service opportunities, and improve library awareness and funding.
The library wishes to thank the community for all of their support that helped to achieve this distinction.
