Ellicottville Book Club Ends Successful Year at 
The Ellicottville Memorial Library

The Ellicottville Book Club’s final meeting of the year, May 14 was spent discussing Karen Joy Fowler’s The Jane Austen Book Club .  We  also selected Ken Follett's World without End  as the first book of our new season which will start in October.

In June, the book club will visit the Zippo Visitors’ Center and Museum in Bradford.  Reservations have been made at the Glendorn for lunch following the tour.  Those having reservations will meet at the Ellicottville Post Office at 10:30 and car-pool to the events in Bradford.

The monthly meetings of the book club were especially well attended during the past season and we’re all most grateful to our Ellicottville Memorial Library trustees for providing us with an ideal spot for the book club.  We’ve been comfortably ensconced in beautiful surroundings especially conducive to the discussion of our books, to say nothing of the ease in obtaining them.   We thank  all of the library volunteers for their generous assistance.   

 At our October meeting we will vote on a selection of books for November, 2008 through May, 2009.  This selection will be made from books researched by members during the summer.  The list for the year will be posted  at the desk in the library shortly thereafter or here on the web site..

 Everyone is welcome to join us.  The Ellicottville Book Club meets at the library at 1:30 P.M. on the second Wednesday of the month, from October through May and for a special tour and luncheon in June.
