On-Going Events at DYPL:

Delevan-Yorkshire Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting
Third Wednesday of the month, 4 p.m., in the Anderson Room
(Next scheduled meeting is Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at 4 p.m.)

The Library is a collection site for the Delevan Area Food Pantry.

Non-perishable items may be dropped off in the box in the foyer.

(The pantry is always in need
of tuna and peanut butter.)

Creative Craft Club

in Anderson Room

Currently, the DYPL Book Discussion Group is reading Exodus, by Leon Uris.

Books available at Circulation Desk.
Discussion date is Thursday, May 15, at 6 p.m.

 

Residents of the Pioneer Central School District are eligible to vote on the library aid proposition (to increase aid to the Arcade Free Library, Delevan-Yorkshire Public Library, and Machias King Memorial Library) from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20 at the District Office located at 12145 Countyline Rd, Yorkshire, NY.

Residents are invited to attend a public hearing
about the proposition to increase library aid at the
Delevan Fire Fighters' Training Center,
1006 N. Main St, Delevan, NY
(same building as the DMV) on Wednesday, May 7 at 7 p.m.

The Library will be closed Monday, May 26, 2008 in observance of Memorial Day.

The Library will reopen at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 27th.

Knowledge Seekers Society Annual Fund-Raiser

In late 2007, the Knowledge Seekers Society sold tickets for a drawing
for the baskets pictured at left.
The drawing to give away both baskets was held Dec. 13th.
All proceeds from the Drawing benefit the Library.
