All adult non-fiction, and fiction as well as all children's juvenile and young-adult books may be charged out for 2 weeks. (If no one is waiting to read these, they may be renewed.) A phone call is sufficient, call on due date and mark the date two weeks later. Magazines are seven-day charges. New books cannot be renewed. We do not renew overdue books.
Library Cards:
We are now issuing library cards to all new and existing patrons. All we need is
your name, address and phone number. You are under obligation to notify us if
there is an address change or phone number change.
Fines:
We charge 10 cents a day or 50 cents a week for overdue books for each day that
we are open. (Wednesdays, Sundays and holidays that we are closed will not be
charged.) Audio book cassettes and audio CDs will be charged 25 cents a day or
$1.25 a week when they are overdue. We do not charge a fine on any of our uncataloged paperbacks.
Videos:
We have family videos, which may be signed out for a 2 day rental or until the
next day that we are open. We do not charge a rental fee for the videos when
they are signed out, however we do charge a fine of $1.50 a day for each day
they are overdue. You must be 18 or over to sign out videos. A child bringing a
note from home will be refused. We do not renew videos. Only three videos to a
family or household. A one-dollar fine for any video that is not rewound. We do
not reserve videos. Videos may be placed in the locked drop box before we open
on the day they are due.
