GRANTS RECEIVED FOR BOOKS FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS!

We are celebrating the news here at the library that we have received grants from the following sources for Books for Children and Young Adults!

Books for Children: The Ralph C. Sheldon Foundation and The Libri Foundation, Inc. In June, we plan to receive over 60 new books for children from these 2 combined grants! Just in time for Summer Reading!

Books for Children and Young Adults: The Holmberg Foundation. We just received word that we will soon be awarded $3,000 for books for Children and Young Adults! Watch this space for more information as we receive it.

 

Come to our monthly Story Time! Next Story Time is on Thursday May 23rd at 11 am - 12 pm. The theme of the day will be "Planting." For children in Grade 1 and younger.

Your library has wish lists of materials we would LOVE to have purchased for us. We would sincerely be grateful for your help.

2. Go to "Off the Beaten Path" at 28 Chautauqua Ave in Lakewood. We have a "wish list shelf" there of books that may be purchased at a discount for us. Support a local business at the same time as helping your local library!

Join the book club! Meets monthly. Call (716)487-1281 for more details. The next meeting is Thur June 6th at 1:00 pm. We are discussing "Alice I Have Been" by Melanie Benjamin! Call the library to reserve a copy of the book to read. The book club loves Melanie Benjamin's books.
