Dear Friend,

          It is time once again to send to all of our adult card holders our annual letter asking for a supporting donation to the Library.  Last year’s appeal raised $5,832.

          This year we shall face the same continuing costs of operating in addition to the predictable increases in the price of books and periodicals, utilities and insurance, maintenance and building supplies.

          As we enter the electronic age we must find ways to provide our patrons with the tapes and CDs, computers and on-line sources of information that are expected of a modern library.  You will be interested to know that our 15 computers are used between 800-1,000 times a month.

          Enclosed is a copy of the Library’s “Annual Report to the Community” which we hope will give you a better understanding of our operation.  For even more information, please check our library’s home page at www.cclslib.org/Dunkirk/.

          We are asking you for a donation of $25.00 but, of course, a donation in any amount will be appreciated.  Your gift is tax deductible.  Please make your check payable to the Dunkirk Free Library and mail or bring it to the Library in the enclosed envelope.
