Deposit Collections or small reading collections are maintained in various institutions and facilities throughout the counties. Each collection is changed bi-monthly, and is tailored to the preferences and needs of the readers.
Example: 30 large print books: 10 romances, 10 mysteries, 10 westerns
WHO CAN APPLY FOR DEPOSIT COLLECTIONS?
Nursing homes, retirement homes, senior citizens day program sites in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties all qualify for deposit collections. Each location is required to have a designated person in charge of overseeing the collection, which includes receiving and displaying books, maintaining a check out system to track books loaned and returned on site, and collecting books prior to the day of exchange. Notification is sent to the the designated overseer in advance of the exchange date.
